Planner Template by My Little Creations

Tina Parker of My Lil Creations has been a long time member and sponsor here at Beyond. This week she released an amazing new template for a custom photo planner. The planner is designed to be printed at CPQ (but you can do any vendor that will bind a double sided image for you). I personally see great gifts to be the future use of these. According to Tina she will do a 2012 book (no word yet when it will be available) and I am hoping it comes out mid summer so I have plenty of time to make some fantastic holiday gifts!

Just think you can stay organized and promote your work! These would also make a great up-sell for your clients, who would not want a beautiful planner full of images of their family.

This is a great way to showcase your 52 weeks project photos as well!

Cool — How new tool for website updating

I am always looking for new ways to do things, like blog posts or update my website. The problem is with blog changes, say I have to go between the a tab that has the backend open and one that has how it looks.

Now I can have both open at the same time — I love it!

This is due to a new tool called Fox Splitter. This allows you to have to tabs open sideby side in one panel, great for working on blogs, websites that have an on line editor or if you just want to compare to things side by side.

It does require that you have the latest version of Firefox, but that is it!

Getting Organized: Resources for Photographers

I know that so many of us work from home and the biggest challenge that we face is that we often have to figure out how to do this and stay organized as well as find that dividing line between work and non working hours. I am sitll working on that myself, but have begun to follow a few sites that are geared just at getting organized and staying organized.

I love Organizing your Way and their post today is so great — tips for working from home!

Then through there I found Penelope Loves Lists — well who wouldn’t love lists!

Finally I am just drooling over all the supplies on this site, See Jane Work — but they are so FUN and will give my office make over those final useful but fun touches! Like this file box that can sit on a shelf –pretty but functional!

New Year — Beyond Just Images Resources for Photographers

Happy New Year everyone! This is the first official work day of 2010 and I have lots of exciting things to share with you. This is the time of the year everyone should be thinking about their business and getting things in shape for the new year.

One of the things I was thinking about getting (but did not get to yet) was to subscribe to the website My Photography Business. This is a great website. George is a fantastic photographer and an amazing business person. He is giving you training videos that range in topics from how to see light to how to manage your business. I think this is a must for getting yourself ready and your business in shape for the new year. It is just $15 and you can access all the videos he complies for the entire year (for an extra fee I think you can get access to last years as well).

This entire month I am going to bring your resources, ideas and ways to organize your business for the new year!
