Tips and Tricks Tuesday: Beyond Just Images
My goal is to bring you tips tricks and free tutorials on Tuesdays. This may be a fun tip I have found out about to do with Photoshop or how to improve your SEO or some great photography techniques that I have found and want to share.
Please no comments on my selection of image to show you this trick — I just grabbed the first one in this folder. I also am not sure how often I would use this vs. just cropping it at the end to be what I wanted it to be, but this could be helpful, you never know when you might need a new photoshop trick!
This week I am going to keep it simple and just share something I learned on how to fix a crooked horizon in a image.
It’s the ruler trick (for lack of a better name and no I did not come up with it!).
1. Pick the ruler from your toolbox (for those photoshop challenged like me it’s in with your eye dropper tool).

2. Draw a line on the photo (across something that should be straight). This will represent how you want the photo straightened.

3. Go to image – image rotation – Arbitrary.

4. Then you will see a box with your rotation amount and you will have your crop rotation already in the box click OK

5. Then tidy up your image by croping out the parts that moved!
